Klickitat River Steelhead
Prime Fall Season: September 15 to November 31
Early Summer Season: June on (until river conditions change, usually it is good at least through June and maybe into July)
Full-day (8 hours) guided drift boat trips for steelhead on the Klickitat River. Swinging flies with two-handed rods is the preferred method for targeting these incredible fish. We can also use nymphing tactics with single-hand rods from the boat. Let me know what you want to focus on, and we will customize the trip based on your goals.
Trips are suitable for beginners as well as seasoned anglers, or experienced anglers who are new to fly fishing / spey casting / swinging flies.
Price for a full day guided trip is $500 one angler $550 two anglers.
All Flies and Tackle are provided along with Rods and Reels (if needed).
Lunch, Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are provided. Let me know if you have any dietary restrictions or preferences.
Local discounts, some DIY options or half day trips may be available. Just reach out, and we’ll talk details.
Gear anglers using artificial lures/beads etc (no bait) are welcome to call about DIY options for targeting Steelhead.
To help increase Wild Steelhead Populations barbless hooks are encouraged.
Hatchery Steelhead can be harvested.
